New Member Brunch
Sunday, January 26
Thank you to our event hosts for the day, Les & Cathy Kelly and Jim & Lyn Senske.
This is one of the most difficult events to coordinate.
Photographs were contributed by Tom Worden, Les Kelly, Susan Giali, Aurelia Okino and Cindy Allen.
Dawn broke over SeaGate on the morning of the New Member Brunch and was the portent of a wonderful day on the water.
But, long before - the day before - Rob and Cindy Allen were hard at work
distributing the sparkling wine to make your trip more enjoyable.
The boats headed out around 9 a.m. and were greated by smooth seas, perfect.
We all sang Happy Birthday to our 90 year old club founder, Dewey Rudolph.
Time to head for home.
After the unanimous support to resurrect the Dumb Bell Award it didn't take long to find the memento.
The Ed Davis Dumb Bell Award
It is club lore that Ed has won the award more than any other member.
This is an image of the very first Dumb Bell Award. You can tell it was some time ago as Jim Senske still looks good in shorts.
If you are viewing this page as a visitor to this site, and you live in the SeaGate complex in Huntington Harbour, you are welcome to join us on this cruise to get a taste of SGYC and a half price meal in the bargain. Call the phone number on this flyer and enjoy the cruise with your neighbors.
